In drag racing, the spring is an intricate component of the
suspension. The importance of springs has been ignored by most drag
racers; however, you will find that the winningest racers spend an
immense amount of time adjusting and tuning their suspension to obtain
an advantage. To receive the best performance from a shock set-up, the
spring must be able to work in harmony with the suspension.
